How do I enter a rodeo event?

Select your desired event from the schedule and follow the entry instructions provided. Each rodeo includes contact information, deadlines, and any special requirements for contestants.

What types of events does SPRA include?

SPRA rodeos feature classic rodeo disciplines such as bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, breakaway roping, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, team roping, and barrel racing.

Can families attend SPRA events?

Absolutely. SPRA rodeos are designed for all ages, offering a fun, family-friendly atmosphere with exciting competition, great food, and entertainment.

How do I check rodeo draws, results, and standings?

Contestant draws are listed under the Rodeo Draws tab before each event. You can also view official Results and Standings pages to track your performance and season ranking.

How are standings determined?

Standings are based on cumulative earnings and performance across SPRA-sanctioned events during the season. The top 15 contestants in each event qualify for the SPFR.

What should I wear to a rodeo?

Comfort and practicality are key. Most spectators wear jeans, boots, and a button-down or western-style shirt. Hats are optional but always welcome. Keep in mind, most rodeos have bleacher type seating, lawn chairs may be allowed. Check venue rules.

How can I get involved if I'm not a contestant?

There are many ways to participate-become a sponsor, volunteer at events, or simply attend and cheer on the competitors. Rodeo thrives on community involvement.
